1. World-Class Public Healthcare

Canada’s public healthcare system is based on universal coverage for medically necessary healthcare services based on need, rather than the ability to pay.

What this means is that the patient will not have to pay for most healthcare services. This is possible because the healthcare system is paid through taxes.

It is important to remember that the above applies to all Canadian citizens, permanent residents along with their spouses and dependents. Certain prescriptions may also not be covered, however, there are many private or employer-based insurance options that will cover the costs.

2. A Wide Range of Job Opportunities

Canada has a small population and a large number of Canadians retiring, with the economy constantly growing this creates a gap in the job market. The Canadian Government has since created many programs for skilled workers to immigrate to Canada and contribute to the economy.

3. The Safety of You and Your Loved Ones

Canada is considered to be one of the safest countries in the world. It has an overall low crime rate, this is for both petty and violent crimes.

Although it is not at zero, the low crime rate does bring peace of mind concerning people and their family’s safety. This alone is an incredible reason why you should move to Canada.

4. The Diverse Cultures

Canada is very welcoming to immigrants from all over the globe. People are not judged or discriminated against because of their religion or race. Canada has a multiculturalism policy called the Canadian Multiculturalism Act, ensuring everyone receives equal treatment.

This means living in Canada can feel like home, and there will always be support for those who need it.

5. The Beauty of Canada

As most people know Canada is an incredible sight to see. It was voted the second-most beautiful country in the world not too long ago. That does not come as a surprise with the breathtaking Lake Louise or the incredibly beautiful Banff National Park.

If the outdoors is not something you get excited about, not to worry, as there are spectacular modern cities. These include Old Quebec which is one of Canada’s historic gems or the iconic 553 meters high CN Tower found In Ontario.

At the top of the CN Tower is a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal and the beautiful views of the lake and city.

6. Free Education

All citizens and permanent residents can enjoy the benefit of free education. This is only for public schools, however, should not be a worry as they are highly regarded because of a very strong government-regulated educational system. Canada’s education is ranked in the top 10 of the world. Creating a better future for your children certainly is a great reason to immigrate to Canada.

7. A Stable Economy

Canada has one of the largest and most stable economies. This is especially comforting knowing there is a global pandemic among us. Canada has a big service industry due to the number of natural resources available which also leads to the need for more immigrants filling skilled worker positions.

8. Civil Liberties in Canada

Canada leads with progressive civil liberties, allowing everyone the right to freedom of expression.

Immigrating to Canada will allow same-sex couples opportunities under the spousal sponsorship program and are afforded equal rights.

9. Canada Welcomes Immigrants

Canada aims to bring more than 1.2 million immigrants over the next three years. Canada is a large country with a small population with many resources available. This creates the need for more jobs and therefore more people.

Immigrants in Canada can benefit from more than the job opportunities or quality of life but also the benefit of being treated equally.

10. Having a Better Work-Life Balance

Having a great job opportunity is most individuals’ dream, but having a balance of work and personal life is even better. Canada respects that by keeping to a 40-hour workweek.

You will often find employers provide nursing rooms for mothers, allowing employees to work from home if their children are sick or leave early to pick the children up from school.

These play a big role in a better work-life balance and also give people more time with their families.

11. Social Support in Canada

One of the programs is income assistance. This program supplements the individual’s income when they are going through challenging times in life such as injury, illness, childbirth or unemployment.

These social support programs are important to anyone who needs them and can be of great help.

12. The Incredible Food

The dishes in Canada vary from the well-known dish made of french fries and cheese curds known as Poutine, to a triple-layered dessert known as Nanaimo bars. One thing is for sure, with the many cultures in Canada there are plenty of dishes to choose from.

As an immigrant, having a dish from your home country will not be a problem. There are many restaurants serving dishes from places such as India, Ghana, Nigeria and more.

13. Quality of Life in Canada

Canada is highly ranked in the world for the quality of life, and with the reasons mentioned it is easy to see why. Canada is above average in terms of safety, healthcare, well-being and environmental quality to mention a few.

It is all the small things that add up to a good quality of life and Canada takes care of those small things. People have many good things to say about the country, if you move to Canada, chances are you will too.
