The Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot creates the opportunity to work in some of the most beautiful areas of Canada, and become a permanent resident while you do it.

A community driven immigration program designed to address labour market gaps in smaller cities and towns throughout Canada. Employers in participating communities can post job opportunities for foreign immigrants on local job boards or their community website. After securing a job through the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), the community in which you are working will motivate your request for permanent residency in Canada.

You will need to meet both the IRCC eligibility requirements as well as the community specific eligibility requirements, find a job in one of the participating communities, request a recommendation from the community in which you want to live and work and then once the community has recommended you, you can start the process of becoming a permanent resident in Canada.

Each community has their own webpage, on which you can find job openings from prospective employers in those communities.

There are too many opportunities to list on the city of Brandon, Manitoba webpage page so they leave finding a job offer up to you!

At least 2,750 candidates and their families will be granted permanent residency through the RNIP every year.

These communities were selected for the RNIP because they are some of the safest and most welcoming communities in Canada.

Thunder Bay, one of the participating communities, is the 6th most culturally diverse city in the whole of North America.
