The latest Express Entry Canada draw, which took place on October 2, saw a record-breaking 3,900 candidates receive Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence. This is the highest number of ITAs that the Canadian government has issued since January, with candidates requiring a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of 464 or more to be selected.

With Canada’s goals of incorporating over 1 million skilled immigrants into its workforce by 2021, the chances of receiving an ITA seem to be increasing and with the October Elections looming, now may be the best time to take that leap and secure a new life for you and your loved ones in Canada.

Due to retirement, resignations, employment growth and new job opportunities offered to Canada’s young professionals, the labour market has taken on tremendous strain, struggling to fill the numerous vacancies with suitable candidates. The Canadian government has therefore gone to great lengths to help hopeful qualified applicants integrate into Canada's booming economic infrastructure by making the process more accessible and streamlined.

This year’s draws have already issued 67,300 ITAs to skilled workers but the spots are filling up fast.

We understand that the process is daunting, lengthy and complex and you may be unsure of whether Canada is the right place for you and your family to relocate to.

So let's take a look at how to go about the application process and why moving to Canada will be the best choice that you’ll make.

What Makes Canada so Great?

Canada offers an extraordinary quality of life and is one of the most multicultural and diverse countries in the world. With an exceptional healthcare system and world-renowned public education system afforded to all permanent residents at no cost, it’s no surprise that so many skilled foreigners are choosing to make Canada their new home.

Canada also offers an array of high paying jobs for those looking for employment growth. It’s vibrant cities and glorious natural beauty is a playground for anyone looking for outdoor adventures, buzzing cultural hubs, and opportunities to expand their horizons.

Canada is also one of the most accepting countries globally, offering refuge to people the world over, regardless of their race, religion or beliefs.

With all these amazing benefits on offer, you may be wondering what to do next and how to get to Canada. So let's take a look at Canada’s flagship immigration system and whether or not it’s the best option for you.

What is the Express Entry System?

The Express Entry system manages applications for three federal economic immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program;
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program; and
  • Canada Experience Class. (CEC)

Applicants are required to meet the general requirements of one of these three Federal Immigration Programs and have:

1. A valid travel document or passport;

2. An online Express Entry Profile;

3. A minimum CRS score of 67 points.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a point-based system and candidates are scored according to information supplied in their online Express Entry profile, such as their age, education, and work experience. Every 2 weeks, draws are held in order to select the highest-scoring and most qualified applicants to receive Invitations to Apply(ITAs) for permanent residence in Canada

Although it is possible to apply directly to the Canadian government, the process can be very confusing and a simple slip up can result in a rejected visa application. By using an accredited immigration service, you not only improve your chances of obtaining permanent residency but will also speed up your Express Entry Canada application.
