The Working Holiday Visa falls under the International Experience Canada (IEC) immigration program that was created to provide youth with an opportunity to work and travel in Canada on a temporary basis. There are only 32 selected countries that qualify for this program and have a bilateral youth agreement with Canada. In order to qualify for the program, you must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
Candidates in the Working Holiday Visa program are issued with an open work permit, which is valid for one to two years. Open work permits offer the opportunity to foreign nationals to work for any Canadian employer in any part of the country for a specified period of time.

However, there are certain jobs that you will not be permitted to work in, such as health care and day care jobs, as these require strict certifications and approvals from provincial governments.
