The Express Entry system fast tracks Canadian migration for semi-skilled and skilled workers, reducing the visa application processing time to as little as 4 – 6 months!

What is the Express Entry System?

Created in 2015, the Express Entry system was designed to streamline and fast-track the Canadian immigration and PR application process for skilled and semi-skilled workers. It has been extremely successful, reducing the processing time considerably. The Express Entry system is not an immigration program itself, but rather manages the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal Economic Immigration programs, namely the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Applicants are ranked according to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is a point system based on eligibility requirements such as age, qualifications and work experience. Express Entry draws are held every 2 weeks, where candidates are ranked against each other and those with the highest CRS scores will receive Invitations To Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency.

FAQs

Once you have an online Express Entry profile, candidates can remain in the Express Entry pool for up to 12 months.

Applicants may have one Express Entry profile which is valid for 1 year. If they do not receive an invitation within this period, they may submit a new profile. However, using the services of RCICs means that they will find alternative immigration avenues for you, if your CRS score is too low to be successful via Express Entry.

There are many ways to optimize your chances of success, including increasing your CRS score, provincial nomination, adaptability, Canadian work experience and improving educational qualifications and language skills.

No you don’t need a job offer, but it will improve your chances of receiving an ITA for permanent residency.
